Buggy sessions run from a dedicated dune zone near Madam on the Dubai–Hatta Road, roughly 45 minutes from central Dubai and about the same from Sharjah. You can drive yourself out and pay for the buggy alone, or add a private SUV transfer and be collected from your hotel or residence. Sessions run through the day, but late afternoon is the popular slot — the light is better and the sand is cooler.
Safety and requirements
No licence is needed and no previous experience is required — every rider gets a briefing, helmet and goggles, and a guide stays with the group. Drivers must be 18 or older for the V8 Rage buggies and 16+ for Polaris and Can-Am; younger children can ride as passengers with an adult. Buggies aren’t suitable for pregnant guests or anyone with back or neck problems — a camel safari or the dinner-only camp evening is the better fit there.
