Marina or Creek — which cruise should you pick?
Both run about two hours with the same buffet and entertainment. The route is what differs, and they show you two different cities.
Choose Dubai Marina if…
…you want the Dubai from the postcards. You sail past the towers and under the bridges along the JBR waterfront, with Ain Dubai and the Marina skyline lit up around you. It's the stronger choice for photography and for first-time visitors.
Choose Dubai Creek if…
…you're more interested in the old city. The route runs the historic trading waterfront between Deira and Bur Dubai, past the abras, the gold and spice souks and the wind-tower houses of Al Fahidi. Quieter, more traditional, and closer to what Dubai was before the towers.
When to book it in your trip
A dhow cruise works best on an evening when you're not doing a desert safari — both finish late and both include dinner, so doing them on the same day means two heavy meals and a very long day. Most guests do the safari one evening and the cruise another. The combo package prices both together and lets you split them across days.
Combine with a city tour
The natural pairing is a Dubai city tour during the day and the cruise the same evening — the tour covers Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah and the Old Dubai souks, and the cruise shows you the same waterfront after dark. Ask us for the combined rate.
