A morning desert safari gets you onto the Lahbab red dunes before the heat and the crowds, usually with an 8:00 to 9:00 AM pickup and a return by lunchtime. There’s no dinner or evening show, which makes it shorter and cheaper than the evening safari. From AED 250 per person.

Why book a morning safari instead of an evening one
Anyone who has done an evening safari once tends to book mornings after that, and there are three reasons for it.
The first is the sand. Before 10 AM the dunes still hold the ripple patterns the overnight wind leaves behind — by the afternoon a dozen convoys have driven through them. The second is the light: low morning sun across red sand is the best photography you'll get in the Dubai desert, softer and less harsh than sunset. The third is simply space. You're on the dunes ahead of the afternoon traffic, so the sunset point isn't shared with six other groups.
In the UAE summer it's also the only comfortable option. Between May and September the afternoon sand gets too hot for sandboarding and camel riding to be enjoyable, and the morning slot is what residents book.
What's included
Both morning packages cover 4x4 dune bashing on the red dunes at Al Madam, unlimited sandboarding, camel riding and high-dune photography, with soft drinks, mineral water and light snacks served. You travel in a private Toyota Land Cruiser with your own chauffeur rather than a shared bus, so you set the pickup time and can be dropped anywhere in Dubai afterwards. Our guides are licensed and speak English, Arabic and Hindi.
The morning safari with quad bike adds a 30-minute self-drive ATV session in the sandpit before the dune bashing starts. Machines run from 80 BHP to 220 BHP, and Raptor or Polaris buggies can be arranged on request. That package needs a minimum of two people, or a single guest can book it privately in an exclusive Land Cruiser.
Timing and pickup
Pickup runs from 8:00 to 9:00 AM across Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, with drop-off by around 12:30 to 1:00 PM. If you'd prefer to be out on the dunes for sunrise, ask for the early pickup and we'll collect you before first light — worth doing between November and March when the mornings are cool and clear.
